Manager I - Document Services

Blattner Holding Company, Inc.

Hi, my name is Jacolyn Hansen. I am currently the leader of the Document Services team for Blattner Company, which is a renewables construction company.

I grew up on a dairy farm in northern MN; loved growing up in nature and continue to have a passion for it to this day. After graduating high school as salutatorian for my class, I made my first attempt at college. While I did well at my studies, I was not driven on that path yet. I took some time away from academics and worked in various capacities, but eventually made my way back to university (SCSU) and completed my Bachelors degree.

At that time I was also employed at the university, and learned of a distance-learning program partnering SCSU and UNT-Denton, offering an ALA-accredited Masters in Library and Information Sciences. As this was my intended path, I enrolled in and completed the program.

Next I moved to Denver, CO, and worked as a librarian and registrar for Colorado Technical University. After working at that institution for 10+ years, my role was eliminated at the same time my father began to get really ill from Alzheimer's. I decided to move back to MN, and worked in a few different roles until finally landing at Blattner, where I have been employed in Process Improvement and Document Management functions for the past five years.
